The CiRCE Institute offers Headmaster Coaching, a Headmaster Retreat, and a Board/Headmaster Retreat.
Headmaster Coaching entails a monthly meeting with several headmasters who meet via conference call to discuss and receive coaching in key aspects of their job. Topics include faculty recruitment, faculty evaluation, curriculum evaluation, student discipline, parental issues, strategic planning, working with your board, budgeting, development, marketing, and admission. CiRCE Consultants train heads-of-school to lead with love, wisdom, direction, and authority and work with your school’s leaders to understand your school’s unique situation as you prepare for the future. The Headmaster Retreat is an extended period of time (3-4 days) to meet together with other headmasters to discuss philosophical issues at the heart of classical education as well as different aspects of the headmaster’s duties and responsibilities such as faculty recruitment, faculty evaluation, curriculum, student discipline, parental issues, working with a board, budgeting, development, marketing, and admissions.
The Board/Headmaster Retreat is a one to three day retreat for a board and head of school to examine the essential work of the Board of Trustees in the governance and guidance of a school. We will use a survey prior to the retreat to help us determine specific areas that we can focus on during the retreat for optimal benefit for your school.
Headmaster coaching – $250/month
Headmaster Retreat – $750/person
Board/Headmaster Retreat - $1750/day
